The Bay Hotel and Wainwright’s Bar

Set right on the water’s edge in the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay, The Bay Hotel is a welcoming coastal pub with some of the best sea views in Yorkshire. Upstairs, our main bar and family room offer a relaxed place to eat, drink and take in the ever-changing view across the bay. Downstairs, Wainwright’s Bar, named after Alfred Wainwright, creator of the Coast to Coast Walk, opens seasonally and provides a fitting spot for walkers to celebrate the end of their journey.

We serve freshly prepared, homecooked pub food ranging from traditional favourites to coastal specials, all cooked to order and best enjoyed with a view of the bay. Whether you are joining us for lunch, a hearty evening meal or simply a pint by the sea, The Bay Hotel offers the perfect place to relax and enjoy good food, good company and the charm of Robin Hood’s Bay.

Opening Times and Information

The Bay Hotel is open seven days a week from 11am to 11pm.
Food is served daily from 12 noon until 9pm.

Wainwright’s Bar, located downstairs, is open seasonally.
Dogs are welcome throughout the pub.

We do not take table bookings, so please just come along, find a spot and enjoy the view.
