Nestled right on the water’s edge in Robin Hood’s Bay, The Bay Hotel is a much-loved landmark steeped in local history, charm and the spirit of the sea. Inside, you will find a relaxed bar and family room serving freshly prepared, homecooked food every day from 12 noon to 9pm. The menu includes traditional pub classics, coastal specials and hearty seasonal dishes, all cooked to order and best enjoyed with a view of the bay.
Step outside onto the balcony terrace or settle on the benches by the dock to watch the boats, the changing light and the waves rolling in. Downstairs, Wainwright’s Bar, named in honour of Alfred Wainwright, creator of the Coast to Coast Walk, opens seasonally and provides the perfect finishing point for walkers and adventurers alike.
Throughout the year, Robin Hood’s Bay comes alive with events that capture its character, from the lively Folk Weekend that fills the village with music and storytelling to the magical Victorian Weekend, when the cobbled streets transform into a festive step back in time.
